Phone Walkthrough
- Launch the MetaMask app and choose Log In.
- Use your passcode or biometrics; turn on auto-lock.
- Open the in-app browser or connect with a QR code.
Avoid These Mistakes
Do not enter your Secret Recovery Phrase during a standard MetaMask login. Avoid random links in chat apps, and never approve spend permissions you don’t understand.
Make It Faster
Update the app, close heavy tabs, and clear old site data. If a dApp feels sluggish, switch to a more reliable RPC or try another browser profile.
When Things Break
If the app freezes, force-quit and relaunch. On desktop, disable conflicting extensions temporarily, then try again. As a last resort, reinstall the extension—your wallet can be restored with the Secret Recovery Phrase offline.
